PrEP (Pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a once daily pill that lowers the risk for a person without HIV from getting the virus from sex or injection drug use. PrEP is highly effective at preventing HIV and can only be prescribed by a medical provider. If you are concerned about your ability to pay, there are various financial assistance programs our benefit specialists can help you with.
The Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) helps patients who are diagnosed with HIV access medical care, medications, and essential support services to help them stay in care and virally suppressed.
ACCESS Westside Healthy Start program provides support through every step of your pregnancy and up to 18 months for our mothers-to-be and parenting families living in Chicago’s West side communities of North Lawndale, Austin, Humboldt Park, and in East and West Garfield Park.
With the support of a dedicated care team, the goal of our program is to improve the health outcomes of both the mother and baby, partner with community members to reduce infant mortality rates on the West side, and empower our families to create stronger, healthier communities.

The Illinois Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (IBCCP) offers uninsured Illinois women (18-64 years old) with free or low-cost breast and cervical cancer screenings. The program is available at all ACCESS locations and our dedicated care teams are here to help you enroll.
